Synthetic Sling Shackles

Crosby® Sling Saver shackles are specifically designed to maximize synthetic sling performance. The increased bow radius offers a wider space for the sling to sit, improving load distribution and protecting the working load limit of the sling.

When compared to standard anchor shackles, the sling efficiency increases by at least 15%!

Sling Saver Construction

All of our web sling shackles are made from alloy steel, resulting in a higher working load limit in a smaller shackle. All are stamped with a PIC, WLL, and Crosby.

They have a design factor of 5:1 and meet or exceed all requirements of ASME B30.26, along with additional critical performance requirements the ASME B30.26 doesn't address (including fatigue life and material traceability).

The Sling Saver shackles also meet the requirements set down by the WSTDA-RS1 for minimum stock diameter or thickness and effective contact width.

Each sling shackle size is compatible with a specific webbing sling width and round sling type(s). We've spelled out the options below so it's easy to find the right fit for your application.

Note: Crosby S-281 Sling Saver shackles should only be used with Type 3 Class 7 2-ply web slings, and if you are using webbing that is 3" or wider, a tapered eye is required.
