What is a Confined Space?

According to OSHA, a confined space has "limited or restricted means for entry or exit and is not designed for continuous occupancy." Difficult enough in ideal situations, these spaces can quickly turn even more dangerous in the event of a fall or injury.

Confined Space Tripods

FallTech tripods for confined spaces are portable and easy-to-use. Constructed from a high-strength aluminum alloy, they have adjustable legs to fit a range of standard entry points.

If you are looking for a mobile fall protection system, a tripod is probably the right choice for you. They are easier to transport and set up than a Davit system. They are also more economical.

These confined space tripods are sold with a personnel winch, a self-retracting lifeline for rescue, or both.

Davit Systems

Davit systems are heavy-duty vertical confined space equipment. They have a sturdy base with an offset arm / mast extension that allow you to precisely align your lifeline for easy entry.

Davit arm systems are more versatile than a tripod - they have more adjustable parts, so they can be used in a wider array of situations. They also allow more unfettered access to the space as they aren't using three arms as their base.

These systems are also available with personnel winch, a self-retracting lifeline for rescue, or both.
