Fall Protection Lanyards
When it comes to your crew, the last thing you want to do is put them at risk. Safety lanyards are a versatile option that put user safety first. Our web lanyards consist of durable webbing and high-strength end fittings designed to connect a harness to a secure anchor point.
Depending on your application, there are several factors to take into consideration when choosing a lanyard.
Types of Lanyards
The first thing to consider is usage - are you looking for a general-use safety lanyard, or do you need one suited for positioning or restraint? Unless you answered yes to the second question, a shock-absorbing lanyard should work for you. If you do need positioning functionality, consider one of our adjustable positioning lanyards.
Shock-Absorbing Lanyards
Shock-absorbing lanyards are a must for fall-arrest systems. Their innovative design reduces the force impact on the body during a fall, decelerating the user as smoothly as possible to prevent injury.
Adjustable Positioning Lanyards
If your crew needs to work hands-free at height, a positioning lanyard is an excellent addition to your system. It can attach a harness to an anchor, holding the user in place without any effort on their part. This leaves them free to focus on getting the job done.
Additional Considerations
Once you've narrowed down your options, you'll want to look at a few other factors.
Length
While most of our safety lanyards are 6' in length, there are a few that are shorter. Choices include a 3' shock-absorbing lanyard and a retractable shock-absorbing lanyard where you can set the length anywhere between 2-1/2' and 6'.
End Fitting Connectors
Another important variable is end fittings - depending on what your team is connecting to, you may want something other than the standard snap hook on your safety lanyard. We also offer tie-back carabiners, rebar hooks, and a rope grab.
Most end fittings are made from steel, but a lanyard with aluminum rebar hooks is available if needed.
