Fall Protection

Fall Protection Systems & Accessories

According to OSHA, falls are one of the most common culprits when it comes to work-related injuries / death. Make sure your crew is safe while working at heights or in a confined space by using fall protection equipment.

These products are a subtype of personal protective equipment, specifically designed to protect workers and those around them from the effects of a fall. Our selection includes anchorage, tool tethers, full-body harnesses, self-retracting lifelines, and more.

When is Fall Protection Equipment Required?

OSHA requires that fall protection be used at "elevations of four feet in general industry workplaces, five feet in shipyards, six feet in the construction industry and eight feet in longshoring operations", as well as anytime a someone is working over dangerous machinery or equipment.

Components of a Fall Arrest System

Each fall arrest system has three primary components: a safety harness, a connector, and an anchor. Additional components, like tool tethers, can be incorporated as well, depending on your application.

While we generally offer all of these components separately so you can build the system that works best for your jobsite, we do offer a few fall protection kits that include a harness, a lanyard, and other compatible equipment if you want to keep it simple.

Fall Protection Anchor Points

Anchors are designed to create a secure connection point to the worksite structure, whether that be a roof, an I-beam, or a concrete wall/ceiling. They can be either temporary or permanent, and come in multiple styles to suit a wide range of work environments.

System Connectors

The fall protection equipment that joins the anchor and the harness is a connector. There are a number of different connector options, including lanyards, SRLs, and more.

Most are designed to decelerate a fall, reducing the force impact, but we also offer positioning lanyards and self-retracting lifelines that allow for hands-free work at height.

Safety Harnesses

While the primary function of fall protection harnesses is to protect your crew from fall-related injuries, they also serve to keep them comfortable and mobile throughout the workday.

We offer fall arrest harnesses, positioning / construction harnesses, climbing harnesses, arc flash-rated harnesses, and more.

Additional Fall Protection Equipment

While some fall protection systems only require the basic equipment discussed above, chances are that additional elements might be needed for optimal workplace safety.

Tool Tethers

If your crew is working with tools - scaffold wrenches, power tools, etc. - you don't want to risk these tools falling and hurting another member of your team or passerby. Tool tethers keep tools safely within reach and prevent them from falling.

Horizontal Lifelines

Horizontal lifeline systems are designed for environments without acceptable fixed anchor points. They let your team easily move around their horizontal workspace without needing to change anchor locations.

Confined Space Equipment

Confined spaces offer unique challenges requiring specialized supplies. Confined space equipment will help you navigate restricted entries and quickly react if a retrieval is needed.

Rescue and Descent Systems

You have a comprehensive rescue plan for when a fall occurs. Make sure you have the rescue and descent equipment you need to put that plan into action.
