Custom Tie Down Strap Material

The qualities that make seat belt webbing so important in a vehicle- strength, a light weight and limited stretch- make it ideal for many other uses as well. Slightly thinner and more cost-effective than our regular polyester webbing, seat belt web is great for creating your own custom ratchet straps and tie downs. With our selection of tie down hardware, the possibilities are endless.

This versatile webbing will not shrink and is resistant to fading, rotting, mold and mildew so it's also an excellent choice for creating lifting straps or lifting slings, as well as replacing worn out webbing on bags, tents, and more.

While we carry two colors in stock (black and gray), custom colors are available. We also offer color matching for an extra charge. Colors of seat belt web can vary within a roll; if you need the same color for multiple rolls of seat webbing, please contact our sales team professionals and they will gladly assist you.

One of the most popular uses of polyester seat belt webbing is for ratchet strapping and tie-down applications. By simply adding tie down hardware like ratchet and cam buckles, flat and snap hooks and wire, grab and S hooks, you can create custom tie downs for motorcycles, cars, boats, etc., ratchet straps, wheel nets, and more suited for your exact needs. The 6,000 lb. break strength of this heavy duty strapping is strong enough for nearly any tie down use. A 2" width makes it ideal for 2" ratchet straps for an E-track or L-track system.

Versatile Seat Belt Material Applications

Polyester seatbelt webbing is also perfect for other uses around the home, farm or worksite: create or replace straps and handles on bags, cameras, backpacks, golf carts, life jackets, tents, and more. Create your own custom-length leashes for large dogs or horse tack equipment in custom colors; attach to a garage wall or rafters of a shed to hold tools or boxes; even make small lifting straps for lifting heavy bags of grain or feed with seat belt webbing.

Replacement of older, worn out premium webbings is also more cost-efficient when you use seat belt webbing.

While our seatbelt webbing is more cost-efficient than regular polyester webbing, like polyester webbing it is resistant to fading rotting, and mold and mildew, so it can stand up to extreme outdoor environments and harsh weather conditions.

Need More Options?

If your job requires a strap with some stretch, our nylon cargo webbing is a better choice. While still extremely strong at ratings of 7000 and 9800 lbs. per square inch, nylon also stretches 5 to 7% at rated capacity and about 30 to 33% at break strength. It also retracts back after a stretch to keep its shape so it's ideal for use as recovery straps and lifting slings.

If you need a polyester strap but with more options in break strengths, widths, and in-stock colors, check out our selection of regular polyester cargo webbing. Products range from 1 to 4" in width and 3,500 to 24,000 in strengths. Color choices include gray, olive drab (military green), blue, yellow, black, red and green.
