Using Wire Rope Clips
Wire rope clips or cable clamps can create an eye at the end of your wire when used in conjunction with wire rope thimbles. They clamp the dead end back to the live end.
Watch the video below to learn more about how to use these essential wire accessories:
Cable Clamp Styles
These clamps come in two main styles, both of which can be used for a variety of applications.
Standard Wire Rope Clips
Ideal for heavy-duty rigging jobs, traditional cable clamps feature a U-bolt and saddle that is secured with nuts.
The U-bolt covers the dead end of the wire, while the saddle sits on the live end.
Fist Grip Guy Wire Clamps
The first grip style consists of bolts and heavy hex nuts. The unique design makes installation a breeze - the operator can swing the wrench in a full arc each time!
Unlike the standard clips, you can install these at any orientation relative to the live and dead ends.
Crosby® Wire Rope Clips
Trusted manufacturer Crosby® offers wire rope clamps in both the standard and fist grip styles. Each clip meets or exceeds all requirements of ASME B30.26 and are made in the USA.
