Snap Binders
Also called lever binders, these use leverage to tighten and secure the load. While this load binder is often considered easier and quicker to use than a ratchet binder, the lever does store energy, increasing the potential risk of recoiling and snapbacks for the operator. Some users prefer lever binders for their ease of use and maintenance.

Types of Lever Binders
Lever Load Binder or Snap Binder
The standard lever binder is a popular tool in flatbed transportation. It is equipped with grab hooks on both ends and a lever mechanism. When the lever is pulled, it tightens the chain by drawing the two points together, ensuring a firm hold on the cargo.
Recoil-Less Lever Binder
A recoilless binder works similarly to a standard lever-style binder, but with the 3-pivot cam-action handle it can rotate independently of the end hooks. This prevents any kickback that would otherwise occur when the chain tension is released, resulting in one of the safest binders on the market.
