Carbon Steel Pancake Head Screw for Standing Seam Roof Clip Installation

Designed specifically for metal-to-wood fastening, this screw attaches standing seam clips to purlins, OSB, or plywood with confidence. The sharp point starts quickly, reducing installation time while maintaining a secure connection between metal components and wood framing.

Key Features

  • Patented Ruspert Coating: Provides enhanced corrosion resistance for long-term durability.
  • Low-Profile Pancake Head: Delivers strong pullover resistance with a clean, unobtrusive finish.
  • #2 Square Drive: Promotes solid bit engagement and minimizes cam-out during driving.
  • Sharp Point Tip: Penetrates wood substrates efficiently without pre-drilling in typical applications.

Common Applications

  • Standing Seam Roof Clips: Secures clips directly to wood purlins or decking.
  • Metal Roofing Installations: Fastens panel clip systems in residential or commercial builds.
  • Agricultural Structures: Suitable for barns, sheds, and utility buildings.
  • OSB and Plywood Decking: Attaches metal components to common wood sheathing materials.
  • General Metal-to-Wood Connections: Ideal where corrosion resistance and holding strength are required.

Installation Tips

  • Use a #2 Square Bit: Ensure proper drive engagement to reduce stripping.
  • Drive Flush to the Clip: Seat the pancake head firmly against the metal without overdriving.
  • Maintain Straight Alignment: Keep the screw perpendicular for maximum holding strength.

Wonderful screw

I think they even arrived a day early. You can find this type of screw at your local hardware store. I bought them because the drywall style screw goes too deep into the cedar wood on my fence and needed something with a wider footprint. These will work much better.

This is what I have needed, but could never find !!

These screws are perfect for SO MANY applications ! When you go up & down the isles of HD or Lowes, (without no one to help you find anything), or even in a good old fashioned hardware store, you usually settle for a sheet rock screw ! But with a close-up shot of their fasteners, you get EXACTLY what you wanted !!
I was a high-end, residential/commercial/industrial, licensed general contractor for 40+ years and usually couldn't find the perfect screw - no pun intended 😄
