Poorly Made

The ropes broke off the first day we used it. The holes to put the straps in weren't even cut out. It got the job done. Someone took a lot of short cuts building this though.

No holes for straps!

These looked great and were delivered quick and in great shape. Unfortunately, they were not milled correctly and there were no holes to put the straps through! We had to go under the board to strap the piano down. Needless to say, this gives ample room for straps to slip during transport. Didn't have the right tools chip out holes, so we did the best we could. As we are moving across the country, we did not have time to have these boards replaced and had to make it work. Order early and check the milling, otherwise great boards at a great price.

Both came apart on first use

The different wooden components of this board are unfortunately fastened with brads, not screws, nor is there any glue. I used 2 of them, and both came apart on the very first use. One of the moves was for a customer's $22k piano. The piano dropped because of the poor construction of this board, falling on its belly, and the piano was severely damaged. We are extremely experienced, and there is no question that the fall was entirely due to the board coming apart. I'm out a lot of money and our reputation as professionals was tarnished because of this cheap construction. We've added several dozen screws to each of the 4 boards we bought, and we're planning to use them for piano storage only, not for regular piano moving use.
