Description

Domestic 7/8" 6x37 Bright Wire Rope - EIPS IWRC

Made in the USA from Extra Improved Plow Steel (EIPS), this 7/8" bright wire rope offers exceptional flexibility and fatigue resistance for demanding lifting and rigging tasks. Its 6x36 construction and Independent Wire Rope Core (IWRC) allow it to perform well under repetitive bending, making it ideal for hoisting, suspension, and winch line systems used in dynamic industrial applications.

Colored strands may appear in some domestic wire ropes for manufacturer ID or visibility purposes; these color variations do not affect assembly break strength.

High-Flex Steel Cable for Winching, Suspension & Lifting

The 6x36 construction allows for smoother operation with better bend fatigue resistance than 6x19 alternatives. While it sacrifices a bit of abrasion resistance, it excels in high-cycle environments. The bright finish is uncoated and treated with a petroleum-based lubricant to reduce internal friction and provide light moisture protection. This rope is manufactured to meet RR-W-410 and ASTM A1023 specifications, ensuring consistent quality and performance in tough conditions.

6x37 Wire Rope Configuration

Our wire rope is made using EIPS-grade cable. EIPS (Extra Improved Plow Steel) refers to the strength of the wire rope - its tensile strength is around 10% greater than an IPS grade, improving the break strength.

The class of this wire rope is 6x37. These numbers nominally refer to the construction of the wire rope - the number of outer strands around the core and an estimation of the number of wires within each of these outer strands. so for a 6x37 class, the number of outer strands is 6, and the number of wires making up each strand can range from 27-49. The construction of the rope you will be receiving is 6x36 - if you are looking for something different, please call.
