Van Beest Green Pin® shackles are high-quality, European-made and meet industry standards. Van Beest shackles are marked with the steel grade and a traceability code, and the G-4161 line meets performance requirements of US federal specification RR-C-271 Type IVA Class 2, Grade A.
Screw pin shackles are typically used in non-permanent applications, or where quick and/or repeated connections and disconnections are necessary. Anchor shackles and bow shackles are terms that are often used interchangeably, as both names refer to a shackle with a larger, rounded shape. However, a bow shackle
typically has a larger, more defined bow area than an anchor shackle. The larger loop shape of an anchor shackle does reduce its overall strength, as opposed to a chain shackle
or dee shackle, but an anchor shackle has the capacity to handle a larger strap.
The bow and pin on these Green Pin® Screw Pin Anchor Shackles are high tensile steel, Grade 6, quenched and tempered with a hot-dipped galvanized finish. Maintains 100% of original WLL in temperature ranges from -4°F to 392°F.
In addition to our line of Van Beest shackles
, we also offer Crosby® shackles
, and a variety of shackle options
from Chicago Hardware and affordable import options.
