Eye rivets are often used where light weight and high strength are important. The smooth shaft is machined for a perfect fit into a pre-drilled hole, and the tail end is then "upset", or impacted to be made wider than the shaft, for a permanent fastener. Made of type 316 stainless steel, these eye rivets have greater corrosion resistance for outdoor elements or marine environments.


Please Note:
Loading at an angle will significantly reduce a bolt's rated capacity; a 45 degree angle reduces it to just 1/4 of the stated rating. Never load at an angle greater than 45 degrees from the bolt center line.
