Description
Cordura is a high strength, cut resistant nylon fabric that is great for adding abrasion resistance to ratchet straps, winch straps, and many other types of webbing. This black webbing does not add any strength to the work load limit or break strength of the strap but is ideal for adding resistance to abrasion and cutting. Sleeve is designed to fit snugly against webbing. To install, fold webbing in half, feed through sleeve, unfold, and pull to straighten.
To order Cordura: please specify the total linear feet needed in the "Add to Cart" box above . During the checkout process, you may specify specific lengths needed from the total feet in the "Special Instructions' box. There is no additional charge for specific lengths but due to the labor of the cutting process, your order may be delayed from shipping for a short time (1 business day). If you do not specify specific lengths during the checkout process, you will receive 1 continuous length (ie. If you order 200' and want 10' pieces but it is not specified during the checkout process, you will receive one 200' roll).

We've been ordering straps from US Cargo for ten years now. They've held up great, and the only time we need a new strap, is when we cut one across a load edge. We use pads wherever we can to reduce the wear and tear and cutting of our straps. I decided to try this on our next to last order. I cut them at six inches and hit the edges with a small propane torch. (It didn't take more than a quick swipe, to melt the edges to reduce fraying.)
I placed two of the six inch pieces on each 30ft strap. Now we have easily accessible wear pads on each strap without worrying if they'll fall out. They seem to be working fairly well. In hindsight, I should've bought enough to put three or four pieces on each strap. I ordered a longer length of it, with our latest order of straps. As I said above, it's cheap insurance.
