Description

Domestic 3/4" 6x19 Galvanized Wire Rope - EIPS IWRC

This USA-made 3/4" galvanized wire rope combines Extra Improved Plow Steel (EIPS) and a 6x26 construction with an Independent Wire Rope Core (IWRC), delivering excellent strength and abrasion resistance. Engineered for heavy-duty jobs, it’s ideal for outdoor rigging, hoisting, suspension lines, and winch cable applications where reliability and corrosion protection are essential.

Colored strands may appear in some domestic wire ropes for manufacturer ID or visibility purposes; these color variations do not affect assembly break strength.

Built for Winching, Lifting & Outdoor Rigging Applications

The 6x19 strand class is trusted for its durability in contact-heavy environments. Its abrasion resistance outperforms 6x37 ropes, making it the go-to for jobs involving sheaves or drums. A hot-dip drawn galvanized finish boosts corrosion protection without sacrificing tensile strength - perfect for wet or exposed conditions. This rope is fully compliant with RR‑W‑410 and ASTM A1023 standards, ensuring performance you can count on.

6x19 Wire Rope Configuration

Our wire rope is made using EIPS-grade cable. EIPS (Extra Improved Plow Steel) refers to the strength of the wire rope - its tensile strength is around 10% greater than an IPS grade, improving the break strength.

The class of this wire rope is 6x19. These numbers nominally refer to the construction of the wire rope - the number of outer strands around the core and an estimation of the number of wires within each of these outer strands. So for a 6x19 class, the number of outer strands is 6, and the number of wires making up each strand ranges from 15-26.

Key Features

  • Made in the USA from high-strength EIPS steel for improved load performance
  • 6x26 construction resists surface wear, ideal for rugged industrial settings
  • Hot-dip drawn galvanization maintains full strength with added corrosion protection
  • IWRC core holds shape and resists crushing under high-pressure loads
  • Performs from -40°F to 400°F for diverse job-site conditions
  • Meets federal RR-W-410 and ASTM A1023 specs

Compatible Accessories for Complete Installations

Pair this rope with reliable wire rope fittings and tested rigging hardware for a complete system. Use thimbles to preserve loop integrity and Crosby clips for strong terminations. For specific job-site needs, check out our custom wire rope configurations - tailored to fit your specs.
