Best For: Most lifting applications
WLL Range: 800 – 10,000 lbs
If you’re not sure which Actek hoist ring you need, start here. The swivel hoist ring is the workhorse of Actek’s collection and is recommended for the vast majority of lifting applications. It does everything the specialty styles can do at an economical price point. Unless your application has a specific requirement that rules it out, this ring is a great choice.

- WLL, recommended torque, and screw diameter are stamped onto the washer
Available in screw sizes 5/16” to 1”, with WLLs ranging from 800 to 10,000 lbs. If your application involves any angled or rotating loads and you’re working in a standard environment, this is where to start.

Corrosive or Wet Environments: Actek Stainless Steel Hoist Ring

Best For: Marine, offshore, food processing, and chemical environments
WLL Range: 400 – 5,000 lbs.
The Stainless Steel Hoist Ring features the same proven swivel design as the Safety Swivel and is built from 316 stainless steel for applications where corrosion resistance is non-negotiable. If your lifting environment involves saltwater, moisture, food-grade requirements, or chemically corrosive air, this is the right choice.

- 316 stainless steel construction for superior corrosion resistance

One thing to note: Stainless steel is softer than carbon steel, so stainless hoist rings carry approximately half the working load limit of comparable carbon steel rings. A 5/8” Safety Swivel is rated for 4,000 lbs. The equivalent stainless version is rated for 2,000 lbs. IF you’re switching from steel to stainless steel, make sure to size up your screw diameter or add lifting points accordingly.

High-Cycle Production: Actek Speed Base Hoist Ring

Best for: Manufacturing and production line environments
WLL range: 2,500 – 20,000 lbs.
The Speed Base is built for a very specific problem: You’re doing the same lift over and over, and installing and removing a standard hoist ring dozens of times a day with a torque wrench isn’t practical. The Ultra Lifting Ring is Actek's European-style hoist ring, built for situations where a European engineer has already specified a metric lifting point on a drawing or design. If someone hands you a spec sheet calling for a metric hoist ring, this is what you need.
A few things to know about European-style hoist rings versus US standard:
- Metric threads rather than standard UNC threads
- 4:1 safety factor rather than the US standard 5:1
- No rated torque specification - European standards don't require one
