The Strong-Tie SET-3G22-N epoxy anchor is a high-strength, two-component adhesive engineered for anchoring threaded rod and rebar dowels into cracked and uncracked concrete. Designed for superior bond strength and long-term reliability, this 22 oz. cartridge includes a mixing nozzle and installs easily using a standard caulk gun. Its improved formulation delivers consistent performance across a wider temperature range compared to previous SET epoxies. When installation processes are followed, there is no performance difference between the following: water-saturated concrete, water-filled holes, or submerged concrete.
NOTE: This item is NOT eligible for express shipping and must ship via Ground only.
Built for structural and safety-critical anchoring applications, Simpson Strong-Tie SET-3G epoxy is trusted by engineers and contractors alike. It provides exceptional load performance for new construction, retrofits, and seismic applications where precision and strength are essential.

Strong-Tie products are spec’d on a lot of commercial construction projects. Yet, LOWES or THD carry a very limited supply and ordering takes days to get in.
I called their central office and the will call pickup was ready within hours. Frankly it took longer to get it paid for by my home office than it did to get it ready for me on their end.
The customer service provided was outstanding.
We built a concrete anti-lift ballast weight according engineered plans. We drilled 106 holes in an existing footing 4” deep. The plan called for #4 rebar epoxied into the each hole. We brushed and blew out each hole as per Simpson’s instructions. In the past we had used the SET 3G epoxy with manual dispenser & mixing nozzles on previous projects and these worked perfectly, as we have come to expect from Simpson products. I had not used the Adhesive Retaining Caps before and our third party inspector had not seen them before.
Our technique was to slide the cap five inches up each rebar piece then inject the epoxy in the hole 2/3 full. Then we twisted each rebar piece into the hole. As the epoxy was displaced and started to leak from the hole we slid the ARC along the rebar into the hole. This trapped the epoxy in the hole and positioned the rebar so it stayed perpendicular to the footing instead of sagging down. The result was the epoxy stayed in the hole instead of dribbling out and the rebar was in the correct position for tying the rest of the rebars. The inspector was impressed. The job looked tidy and professional. I plan to use the ARC’s in the future.

THE EPOXY ADHESIVE DID NOT MIX RIGHT. AS I UNDERSTAND, THE COLOR SHOULD HAVE BEEN GRAY, BUT IT CAME OUT WHITE. THE ADHESIVE DID NOT WORK, AND THEREFORE IT DID NOT ADHERE AT ALL.
Dean,
Thank you for taking the time to write a review! We are so sorry to hear that the epoxy adhesive did not mix right. A representative from our team will be reaching out to you to see what could have caused this and investigate further. We look forward to working with you on a resolution!
