3/16" Stainless Steel Rope Thimble
Our stainless steel wire rope thimbles are made of durable type 316 stainless steel and are designed to protect your wire rope in demanding environments where corrosion-resistance is essential. They provide structural support for wire rope loops or eyes, and are made from 316 stainless steel for long-term performance in wet, marine, and outdoor applications.
Compared to the more common type 304 steel, type 316 contains the added element molybdenum which increases the corrosive resistance to high chloride environments and other marine applications.
A popular choice for marine rigging, these light duty thimbles, sometimes called standard or regular duty, are great for light duty applications.
Stainless Wire Rope Thimble Features
- Superior Corrosion Resistance: Made from type 316 stainless steel for superior performance in wet, marine, and outdoor environments, even over type 304 thimbles.
- Light-Duty Construction: Slimmer profile is ideal for light-duty, static applications. Heavy-duty 316 thimbles are also available.
- Reduced Line Wear: Helps maintain proper bend radius to extend the service life of wire rope and synthetic line.
