Sling Protection for Wire Rope Slings

"Slings in contact with edges, corners, protrusions, or abrasive surfaces shall be protected with a material of sufficient strength, thickness, and construction to prevent damage." - ASME B30.9 (2021) 9-5.10.4(d)

LiftGuard™

LiftGuard™ wire rope sling protectors provide excellent abrasion- and wear-resistance. Made from high-performance cast nylon, they use magnets to attach to your load, ensuring they stay in place.

The heavy-duty sling protectors are designed to withstand damage from wire rope slings.

Wear Pads

Wear pads are made from either Cordura® or nylon, and come in three different styles.

Both material offers general sling protection, with Cordura® also providing abrasion-resistance.

Tubular

Tubular sleeves are secured with Velcro® and make the most of their usable surface area. You can adjust the points of contact with each load, meaning the sleeve will last longer.

Sewn

Sewn sleeves are a good choice if you are looking for wire rope sling protection that will stay on the same sling throughout its life. Both sides of these sleeves are sewn together, so they are harder to remove than the quick or tubular versions.
