Bungee Nets for Truck Beds
Simplify your tie down process with a bungee cargo net. Made from stretchable, shock-absorbing elastic cargo netting and durable plastic hooks, our bungee nets are perfect for securing bulky or oddly-shaped cargo in truck beds, flatbed trailers, and enclosed haulers.
If you are looking for a truck bed net that will allow for more tensioning, check our our polyester webbing cargo nets.
What Is a Bungee Cargo Net?
A bungee cargo net is a flexible web of elastic cords that stretches over a load to keep items secure during transport. The elastic cargo netting conforms to the shape of your cargo — no rigid straps, no fumbling with ratchets.
Our bungee nets come with adjustable plastic hooks that attach to side rails, anchor rings, and most standard tie-down points. Hooks are also removable, so you can customize your setup for any load. The 36" x 48" net has 12 hooks, and the 72" x 96" net has 32.
Bungee Cargo Net Sizing
One of the biggest advantages of bungee netting is its elasticity. Our sizes and stretch ranges can cover a wide variety of cargo:
- 36" x 48" - stretches up to 60" x 84"
- 72" x 96" - stretches up to 10' x 14'.
They are also lightweight compared to nets made with webbing and take up very little space when stored. Just roll them up and tuck them away until your next haul!
Need a cargo net with less stretch? We also carry mesh cargo nets.
Why Use Bungee Cargo Netting?
These nets are well-suited for a wide range for vehicles. The most popular use is as a bungee net for truck beds - they fit compact, mid-size, and full-size pickups with ease, but they are also commonly found on flatbed trailers and enclosed haulers due to their ease of use:
- Fast Load Control: Easy to throw over cargo and hook down in seconds.
- Flexible Fit: Great for loads that don’t fit under rigid straps.
- Compact Storage: Rolls up so it won't take up much space.
- Scratch-Friendly: Coated hooks and soft-stretch constriction won't damage lighter or delicate cargo.
How to Choose the Bungee Net for Your Truck Bed or Trailer
Picking the right bungee cargo net depends on a few key factors:
- Bed or Trailer Size: Measure the area you need to cover. Choose a net slightly smaller than your space — the elastic stretch will take up the slack and create a snug hold.
- Hook Compatibility: Make sure the plastic hooks will work with your existing anchor points, side rails, or tie-down rings.
- Load Type: For heavier or more rigid loads, pair your bungee netting with ratchet straps for added security.
FAQs About Bungee Cord Netting
Q: Can I use a bungee cargo net on the highway?
A: Yes, as long as it’s properly installed and tensioned. Always inspect hooks and elasticity before each trip.
Q: What size bungee net should I get for my truck bed?
A: Measure your truck bed length and width, then choose a net that's slightly smaller. The elastic cargo netting will stretch to fill and secure the space.
Q: Is elastic cargo netting safe for delicate cargo?
A: Yes - many bungee nets come with coated hooks and soft-stretch webbing that won’t scratch or crush lighter items.
Q: How do I store my bungee netting?
A: Roll it up or store in a small bag to prevent tangles and protect the elastic from UV exposure.
Q: What’s the difference between bungee netting and cargo webbing?
A: Bungee netting stretches and conforms to loads; webbing straps do not stretch and are typically ratcheted tight for a more rigid hold.
