Flatbed Tie Down Bars

Winch bars are an essential tool for the trucking and transportation industry. Not only do they give you the leverage you need to secure your tie down straps, they make releasing them quick and easy too!

Winch Bar Design

How do they work? Flatbed strap bars are a long metal bar with a narrowed mushroom tip. This tip is inserted into the winch's end cap and used to add the right amount of tension to the strap.

Combination bars have an added feature that allows them to release lever chain binders as well.

Types of Trailer Strap Bars

Depending on your setup, you can choose from several different options.

Standard Tie Down Bars

Standard bars have a knurled handle for a non-slip grip and are available with either a black-painted or chrome finish. Both finishes offer rust-resistance for durability.

Combination Winch Bars

Combination winch bars come with a large hollow end opposite the mushroom tip. This slides over and releases ratchet / lever binders.

If you are looking for added safety, choose a square head combination bar (available in painted or chrome finishes). The square head options have a slight pivot point to reduce force in case of a recoil. Since lever binders can generate a large kickback when released, this can help protect you or your staff.

Ergo Strap Bars

Choose ergonomic tie down bars to decrease strain. The Ergo 360 winch bars can rotate 360 degrees, which means you won't have to contort into uncomfortably low positions to use it!

The innovative bend in the bar allows for maximum leverage as well.

It's available in all three of the basic styles - standard, combination, and combination with a square head - so you can pick an ergonomic option no matter what design you need.
