1" Wire Rope from US Cargo Control
1 inch wire rope is a versatile rigging and lifting tool, suitable for a wide variety of applications. It comes in many configurations - from a general purpose 1" 6x19 galvanized wire rope to a more specialized 1" 19x19 compacted rotation-resistant wire rope - each with different levels of flexibility, corrosion-resistance, and more.
Most of our wire rope is in-stock (even the coils!) and ships quickly.
Choosing the Right 1" Steel Cable for You
When choosing the best fit for your application from the multitude of 1" wire rope options available, some of the most important factors to keep in mind are grade, finish, and construction.
Grade / Material
Excepting the guy wire, 1" wire rope is available in either EIPS or 304 stainless steel. EIPS is stronger, while 304 stainless steel is more corrosion-resistant.
Wire Finish Type
If you want corrosion-resistance without choosing stainless steel, pick a galvanized finish. If you just need an uncoated, lubricated wire rope, bright steel is the most basic finish.
Construction
Generally, 1" wire ropes with more wires making up each outer strand (like the 6x37) are more flexible and fatigue-resistant, while those with fewer (such as the 6x19) are more abrasion-resistant.

Industry Compliance
All of our 1 inch wire rope meets the dimensional and strength requirements of Federal Specification RR-W-410 (latest revision) and ASTM A1023. Our 1" EHS guy wire meets all requirements of ASTM A475-03.
