The Crosby® G2130E is the entry-tier line in Crosby's Easy-Loc® family - a bolt type anchor shackle that replaces the standard nut, bolt, and cotter pin with a tool-less EZ-Loc locking collar. Available from 25 to 150 metric tons, the G2130E is built for crews who need secure bolt retention without sacrificing installation speed on critical heavy lifts.

Tool-less EZ-Loc Collar Design
The EZ-Loc collar locks and releases by hand - no wrenches, no loose cotter pins to drop or lose.
Grade 6 Construction & 6:1 Design Factor
Every size in the G2130E line is forged, quenched and tempered, with a 6:1 design factor and a maximum proof load of 2x the Working Load Limit. Shackles rated 85 tons and above (3" and larger) are individually proof tested; smaller sizes are statistically proof tested in accordance with industry standards.

Comparing Working Load Limits at the Same Pin Size
At every matching pin size, Crosby's G2140E line carries a higher Working Load Limit than the G2130E: for example, a 2" pin is rated 35 tons on the G2130E versus 55 tons on the G2140E. The G2140E is also Grade 8 (versus the G2130E's Grade 6) and is individually proof tested at every size, not just 85 tons and up. Meets or exceeds ASME B30.26; meets Federal Specification RR-C-271 Type IVA Grade A Class 3 (except contractor-specific provisions); meets ISO 2415; CE marked. 3.1 Certification and ABS Type Approval are available on request.
Service Temperature & Environmental Ratings
Approved for use from -40°F to 400°F (-40°C to 204°C). The 25-55 ton sizes carry a published fatigue rating of 20,000 cycles at 1.5x WLL; this rating is not published for the 85-150 ton sizes.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you side-load a Crosby shackle?
For shackles 3" nominal size or smaller, Crosby's guidance is: 0°-5° from vertical retains 100% of the rated WLL; 6°-10° reduces it to 85%; beyond 10°, a qualified engineering analysis is required. The 3-1/2" and 4" sizes fall into a different angular-loading category; refer to the current Crosby warning and application instructions supplied with the product, or contact Crosby Engineering, for those two sizes.
What's the difference between the G2130E and G2140E?
WLL, grade (6 vs. 8), and proof-testing rigor all differ - see the comparison section above for specifics at each pin size.
Do replacement collars fit both model lines?
Yes, for the 1-3/4" through 4" sizes - confirmed identical stock numbers across G2130E and G2140E at matching pin sizes. The 1-1/2" collar is G2140E-only, since G2130E doesn't offer a 1-1/2" size.
