24' tie down strap features 12,000 lb. abrasion-resistant polyester webbing with wire hook fittings. This wire hook ratchet strap offers you versatility and strength. The ratchet component has a wide design with a smooth handle. Both ratchet and hooks are finished with zinc plating for extra protection and corrosion resistance. 2" ratchet straps like this one offer you good strength for many applications. All of our ratchet straps are labeled with the working load limit information and meet DOT and WSTDA guidelines.
Ratchet Use Guidelines
According to the WSTDA (section 4.6.8): "When using web tie downs with a winch or ratchet, a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 wraps of webbing shall be wound on the winch or ratchet mandrel. Excessive wraps of webbing on the mandrel may reduce the working load limit (WLL) of the web tie down and may interfere with proper operation."
