This is a heavy-duty wire hook ratchet strap. The 2" x 27’ ratchet strap has strong, wire double J hook end fittings that easily clip into a variety of anchor points. The strap itself is abrasion-resistant and weather resistant with 12,000 lb. break strength red polyester webbing. The ratchet and wire hooks have zinc-plating for protection and corrosion resistance. Our ratchet straps meet or exceed DOT and WSTDA guidelines and are labeled with working load limit information.
Ratchet Use Guidelines
According to the WSTDA (section 4.6.8): "When using web tie downs with a winch or ratchet, a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 wraps of webbing shall be wound on the winch or ratchet mandrel. Excessive wraps of webbing on the mandrel may reduce the working load limit (WLL) of the web tie down and may interfere with proper operation."
