Engineered in the USA using Extra Improved Plow Steel (EIPS), this 1-1/4" bright wire rope features a 6x36 construction and an Independent Wire Rope Core (IWRC) for maximum strength, flexibility, and fatigue resistance. Designed to perform in high-cycle lifting, winching, and suspension systems, it’s ideal for structural rigging where repeated bending is required.
Colored strands may appear in some domestic wire ropes for manufacturer ID or visibility purposes; these color variations do not affect assembly break strength.High-Capacity Flexible Wire Rope for Rigging & Winch Systems
The 6x37 class enhances bendability and reduces fatigue failure, especially in applications that demand frequent movement. Though slightly less abrasion-resistant than 6x19 class, this rope excels in flexibility-focused environments. A petroleum-based lubricant protects both the internal and external strands from friction and light corrosion. This rope meets the dimensional and strength standards of RR-W-410 and ASTM A1023, ensuring it’s built for critical load-bearing jobs.
6x37 Wire Rope Configuration
Our wire rope is made using EIPS-grade cable. EIPS (Extra Improved Plow Steel) refers to the strength of the wire rope - its tensile strength is around 10% greater than an IPS grade, improving the break strength.
The class of this wire rope is 6x37. These numbers nominally refer to the construction of the wire rope - the number of outer strands around the core and an estimation of the number of wires within each of these outer strands. so for a 6x37 class, the number of outer strands is 6, and the number of wires making up each strand can range from 27-49.
