Description

Domestic 7/8" 6x19 Bright Wire Rope - EIPS IWRC

Made in the USA from Extra Improved Plow Steel (EIPS), this 7/8" bright wire rope is designed for dependable strength and rugged performance in industrial applications. Featuring a 6x26 construction and an Independent Wire Rope Core (IWRC), this cable delivers excellent abrasion resistance with moderate flexibility-ideal for hoisting, winching, suspension systems, and heavy-duty rigging tasks.

Colored strands may appear in some domestic wire ropes for manufacturer ID or visibility purposes; these color variations do not affect assembly break strength.

Heavy-Duty Steel Cable for Rigging, Lifting & Structural Support

The 6x19 class wire rope is optimized for durability in abrasive environments, while the IWRC offers added crush resistance and internal support under tension. A bright finish treated with petroleum-based lubricant helps reduce internal wear and provides light moisture protection. Built to meet or exceed RR-W-410 and ASTM A1023 specifications, this wire rope is trusted by professionals across industries.

6x19 Wire Rope Configuration

Our wire rope is made using EIPS-grade cable. EIPS (Extra Improved Plow Steel) refers to the strength of the wire rope - its tensile strength is around 10% greater than an IPS grade, improving the break strength.

The class of this wire rope is 6x19. These numbers nominally refer to the construction of the wire rope - the number of outer strands around the core and an estimation of the number of wires within each of these outer strands. So for a 6x19 class, the number of outer strands is 6, and the number of wires making up each strand ranges from 15-26.

Key Features

  • USA-made with high-strength EIPS-grade steel for improved load capacity
  • 6x26 construction balances abrasion resistance with functional flexibility
  • Bright uncoated finish with petroleum lubricant for reduced friction and basic corrosion resistance
  • IWRC core resists crushing and supports high-tension applications
  • Compliant with RR-W-410 and ASTM A1023 federal performance standards
  • Ideal for lifting, suspension, winching, and structural rigging

Compatible Accessories for Full System Setup

Pair this wire rope with our full selection of wire rope fittings and durable rigging hardware such as turnbuckles, shackles, and eye bolts. Add wire rope thimbles to protect loops and secure assemblies with industry-standard Crosby wire rope clips.
