Create strong and secure tie-down anchor points in your van, pickup truck, or trailer with our heavy-duty L-track. With a narrower profile than E-track that's perfect for walking and rolling wheeled cargo over, it's ideal for tying down items such as motorcycles, ATVs, and utility tractors.

What Makes This Track Heavy-Duty?

This high-quality track has squared profile edges and a 6351 aluminum construction. The aluminum has a slightly higher tensile strength and is stiffer than the standard 6061-T6 aluminum. These two factors offer a more rigid track that can handle heavier-duty applications.

It's also designed for a more secure installation - the countersunk holes are every 4" instead of 5".

How Do I Install Airline L-Track?

Before installing, you will need to drill holes in this track - easy to do with a carbide-tipped countersink bit. It's best to start with a smaller bit, make a pilot hole, and then move to the larger bit to get the hole through. The countersink will allow the head of the screw to fit flush against the track. For the strongest installation, we recommend bolting the fastener with a nut and washer (along with some Loctite). Wood screws and self-drilling screws can also be used, but won't be as strong.

What's the Load Rating on This L-Track?

Due to the many variables involved in installing L-track - the fasteners used, the mounting surface, etc. - we cannot provide a blanket working load limit. The track is designed to be at least as strong as any of the compatible straps and fittings we sell to use with it, but it is up to the installer to determine that the track is properly installed to provide sufficient strength.
