Description

This tiedown strap has a 2 inch wide, abrasion-resistant yellow polyester strap that absorbs very little water so it won't rot, or form mold or mildew, even in harsh outdoor environments. The 12 foot length is versatile enough for a wide variety of jobs, and has short wire hooks that work especially well if tie down points are shallow. Both the hooks and the ratchet are zinc-plated for extra protection. Our ratchet straps meet or exceed DOT and WSTDA guidelines, and are labeled with working load limit information.

Ratchet Use Guidelines

According to the WSTDA (section 4.6.8): "When using web tie downs with a winch or ratchet, a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 wraps of webbing shall be wound on the winch or ratchet mandrel. Excessive wraps of webbing on the mandrel may reduce the working load limit (WLL) of the web tie down and may interfere with proper operation."

US cargo control doesn’t mean made in the USA

Although, I guess it’s my fault for not inquiring, but I thought these items would’ve been made in the USA. I was a little disappointed when I looked at the item tags that all said made in China. The webbing is of adequate quality, although the ratcheting mechanisms seem to be made of a lighter gauge sheet metal than I would expect.

Awesome!

The quality of this product was even better than expected. I shopped around and determined that the Chinese products were quite inferior, based on reviews. Using these to secure my Kubota BX23S for transportation. All the metal hardware components are of great quality and finish, function is easy and ratchets lock securely. Webbing is smooth and well finished. Money WELL spent and shipping was fast.
