Pewag 1/2" case-hardened security chain has been specially hardened to 63 HRC 6% deep, which makes it extremely tough to cut with any standard tools. Unlike standard round chain, the square design of this chain won't allow bolt cutters to cut through it. This chain is sold by the foot but if you need a complete setup, check out our security chain packages that include high quality viro locks.
Does this chain come as one length? Yes, the quantity you add to the cart will be provided as one unbroken length of chain. So if you add this to the cart with a quantity of 10, you will receive one 10-foot long chain.
Can I order multiple separate lengths? Yes. For example, if you need two 3-foot lengths of chain, you would set the quantity to 3 and then add that to the cart twice. For each separate instance you add this to the cart, you will get a separate length of chain.
Is there a maximum length of chain I can order? Yes, the maximum length is 50'.
Protect your chain with a 3" Cordura wear sleeve.

If you want to secure your 747 or your Harley-Davidson, this chain along with a Vero lock, we'll get the job done. It is no lightweight you may want to order a small size.
The chain would intimidate a thief. Used in conjunction with the lock being sold makes for a strong deterrent. Best to buy a foot more chain then you think you might need.
After watching several failed attempts to cut this Pewag 1/2" chain with 42" bolt croppers on YouTube, I was sold. The only time I've seen it cut is in a vice with an angle grinder, which still took two cuts taking over a minute in ideal conditions. I bought 4' with an Abus 37RK/70 padlock, which I strap across my body when biking. It all weighs just under 15lbs, but I don't mind the weight.
