This sling type (also called a type 6 returned eye or reverse sling eye) has reversed eyes that stand at 90 degrees to the body of the sling, which prevents twisting when used in a basket or choker hitch. It can also be used with a vertical hitch, making it an economical and versatile lift sling. The twisted eye design makes this sling a better choice than a straight
eye & eye sling when used with choker hitches.
Additional benefits of nylon reversed slings include its CORDURA® wear pads which provide extra abrasion protection; the design also lets you reverse the eyes, so the other side can also be used as a wearing surface, doubling the life of the lifting strap.
Reverse eye slings with a flat eye (also known as a type 7 nylon lifting sling) are also available by calling our sales team at 800-660-3585. They will be glad to help find the sling you need.
Sling Proof Testing CertificatesProof testing certificates can be supplied with your order for a nominal fee and must be requested at the time of order. Proof tests are performed in the factory where the sling is pull tested to 2x the vertical rating and officially recorded as proof for governing bodies. During the standard manufacturing process, only random slings during a production run are tested for compliance; in order to provide proof testing certificates with your order, every sling must be pull tested at the time of manufacture.Sling length is determined from the load-bearing point of one eye or fitting to the load-bearing point of the other eye or fitting.
