The Type 8 continuous eye wide sling offers some of the highest working load limit capacities available, while also providing a wide body for extra load stability and protection for fragile surfaces.
This heavy duty nylon lifting sling is constructed by joining together the long length edges of an endless sling. This design results in the loops or "eyes" on each end being a continuous part of the sling rather than an attachment, which provides extra strength. The loops are also tapered, so crane hooks and hoist hooks can be easily accommodated. All widths are available in either 1-ply or 2-ply styles.
Also called continuous lifting straps or continuous nylon slings, type 8 slings can only be used in a basket hitch. All of our nylon web slings are made in the USA to industry standards in a heavy-duty, 9,800 lbs. per inch industrial grade webbing, and have a sewn-in leather tag that contains the working load limit.

Please note:
The width measurement for a type 8 continuous eye wide sling reflects the width of the short side of the sling, not from eye to eye. The length measurement is determined by laying the sling flat and measuring from one end of the sling to the other- including the eyes.
Sling Proof Testing Certificates
Proof testing certificates can be supplied with your order for a nominal fee and must be requested at the time of order. Proof tests are performed in the factory where the sling is pull tested to 2x the vertical rating and officially recorded as proof for governing bodies. During the standard manufacturing process, only random slings during a production run are tested for compliance; in order to provide proof testing certificates with your order, every sling must be pull tested at the time of manufacture.
Sling length is determined from the load-bearing point of one eye or fitting to the load-bearing point of the other eye or fitting.
