description
Green 2" tie down has flat hooks finished with a black coating and a defender on the slot to provide protection to the webbing. Flat hook ratchet straps are specifically designed for strength and versatility, and they are great to use to hook rub rail of your flatbed semi trailer. The green abrasion-resistant polyester webbing has a 12,000 lbs. break strength, and the wide-handled ratchet has zinc-plating. Don’t forget corner protectors to look out for the edges of your cargo. Our ratchet straps meet or exceed DOT and WSTDA guidelines and are labeled with working load limit information.
Ratchet Use Guidelines
According to the WSTDA (section 4.6.8): "When using web tie downs with a winch or ratchet, a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 wraps of webbing shall be wound on the winch or ratchet mandrel. Excessive wraps of webbing on the mandrel may reduce the working load limit (WLL) of the web tie down and may interfere with proper operation."
