Description

Domestic 9/16" 6x19 Bright Wire Rope - EIPS IWRC

Manufactured in the USA, this 9/16" bright wire rope is constructed from Extra Improved Plow Steel (EIPS) and features a 6x26 construction with an Independent Wire Rope Core (IWRC). Known for its strength and wear resistance, this cable is built to handle demanding applications like hoisting, winching, and structural support with consistent reliability.

Colored strands may appear in some domestic wire ropes for manufacturer ID or visibility purposes; these color variations do not affect assembly break strength.

Heavy-Duty Wire Rope for Lifting, Rigging & Support Systems

The 6x19 construction provides superior abrasion resistance while maintaining moderate flexibility. Its bright, uncoated finish is treated with a petroleum-based lubricant that reduces internal friction and offers light protection against moisture. The IWRC helps maintain rope shape under heavy pressure and increases resistance to crushing. This wire rope meets Federal Spec RR-W-410 and ASTM A1023, making it a dependable choice for professional environments.

6x19 Wire Rope Configuration

Our wire rope is made using EIPS-grade cable. EIPS (Extra Improved Plow Steel) refers to the strength of the wire rope - its tensile strength is around 10% greater than an IPS grade, improving the break strength.

The class of this wire rope is 6x19. These numbers nominally refer to the construction of the wire rope - the number of outer strands around the core and an estimation of the number of wires within each of these outer strands. So for a 6x19 class, the number of outer strands is 6, and the number of wires making up each strand ranges from 15-26.
