The square chain on the lock prevents thieves from getting a bolt cutter on the lock while the chain itself is very difficult to cut due to its design and hardness.
This chain is very robust and designed to protect more industrial-type items and facilities. If you are looking to secure something more lightweight or recreational, check out our 9/32" security chain kits.
To protect the finish on your valuable items, cover your chain with a 2" Cordura wear sleeve.

I have had three bikes stolen. They were locked up with cable and pad lock. They cut the cable with bolt cutters. I’m sure this new lock and chain will work.
