Description

Domestic 1/2" 6x37 Bright Wire Rope - EIPS IWRC

Made in the USA from high-strength Extra Improved Plow Steel (EIPS), this 1/2" bright wire rope features a 6x36 construction for superior flexibility and fatigue resistance. Built with an Independent Wire Rope Core (IWRC), it delivers increased crush resistance and structural integrity, making it a top choice for dynamic lifting, suspension, and winching applications that require repeated bending.

Colored strands may appear in some domestic wire ropes for manufacturer ID or visibility purposes; these color variations do not affect assembly break strength.

Flexible Steel Cable for Winch Lines, Lifting & Suspension

The 6x37 class provides better bendability and fatigue life than 6x19 class wire rope, making it ideal for high-cycle jobs. The bright, uncoated finish is treated with petroleum-based lubricant to minimize internal wear and offer basic protection against moisture. This wire rope meets or exceeds the requirements of RR-W-410 and ASTM A1023, ensuring rugged, field-ready performance.

6x37 Wire Rope Configuration

Our wire rope is made using EIPS-grade cable. EIPS (Extra Improved Plow Steel) refers to the strength of the wire rope - its tensile strength is around 10% greater than an IPS grade, improving the break strength.

The class of this wire rope is 6x37. These numbers nominally refer to the construction of the wire rope - the number of outer strands around the core and an estimation of the number of wires within each of these outer strands. so for a 6x37 class, the number of outer strands is 6, and the number of wires making up each strand can range from 27-49. The construction of the rope you will be receiving is 6x36 - if you are looking for something different, please call.

Key Features

  • USA-made with high-tensile EIPS-grade steel for reliable load strength
  • 6x36 construction improves flexibility and fatigue resistance
  • Bright finish with petroleum-based lubricant to reduce friction and wear
  • IWRC core enhances load support and resists crushing under tension
  • Complies with RR-W-410 and ASTM A1023 federal specifications
  • Recommended for hoisting, suspension systems, and dynamic rigging

Compatible Accessories for Full System Setup

Pair this flexible wire rope with high-performance wire rope fittings and rigging hardware like eye bolts, turnbuckles, and shackles.
