Sentry Lift® Eye & Eye Slings
Sentry Lift® Eye & Eye slings pair HMPE (High Modulus Polyethylene) webbing with a fixed-eye design for easy, repeatable hook and shackle connections. They can be used in choker, vertical, and basket hitches, and are available in Half Twist Tapered (Code HTT) and Half Twist No Taper (Code HT) styles, in widths from 1/2" to 2" with vertical working load limits ranging from 1,100 lbs. up to 20,000 lbs.
BUILT FOR LESS WEAR AT THE CONNECTION
Most nylon and polyester eye & eye slings show their earliest wear right at the connection points, where repeated contact with hooks and shackles wears down the webbing. Because Sentry Lift® HMPE webbing is highly resistant to cut and abrasion, no additional eye protection is needed for slings in normal use. That means a smaller contact profile at the eyes and a sling built to use its full service life at the connection, not just in the body.
SENTRY LIFT® EYE & EYE CONSTRUCTION
The eye style is matched to sling width, with a couple of options if you need something different:
Half Twist Tapered (HTT)
Tapered eyes are automatically furnished on Sentry Lift® Eye & Eye slings 2" wide and over, providing a proper relationship between the sling and your rigging hardware.
Half Twist No Taper (HT)
Slings under 2" wide are furnished with Half Twist eyes and no taper unless otherwise specified.
Smaller Contact Profile
Because Sentry Lift® HMPE webbing resists cut and abrasion at the eyes without added protective layers, these slings maintain a more compact connection point while still standing up to repeated use.
Need a Flat Tapered (Code FT) or Flat No Taper (Code FE) eye style instead? Those are available by custom order. Contact us to discuss your specs.
INSPECTION & CARE
Eye & Eye slings, including Sentry Lift® HMPE slings, should be inspected before each use. Per ASME B30.9:
"Slings in contact with edges, corners, protrusions, or abrasive surfaces shall be protected with a material of sufficient strength, thickness, and construction to prevent damage." (ASME B30.9 (2021), Section 9-5.10.4(d))
Do not expose Sentry Lift® slings to temperatures above 140°F (60°C). While Sentry Lift® HMPE webbing provides substantially improved resistance to wear and damage compared to traditional materials, no sling can eliminate all risk of damage. Proper rigging practices, operator training, and adherence to all applicable regulations and usage guidelines remain essential.
Browse our sling protection accessories, including cut-resistant sleeves and wear pads, for high-contact points like sharp load edges and corners.
COMPLETE YOUR RIGGING SETUP
Pair your Eye & Eye sling with a hoist hook or rigging shackle sized to the eye, so the whole assembly matches the sling's capacity and service life.

Need a continuous-loop configuration instead? See our full Sentry Lift® Slings selection, including Endless styles.
Whichever eye style you choose, Sentry Lift® Eye & Eye slings are built to hold up at the connection point as long as they do in the body, so you're not replacing slings early for eye wear alone.
