Cargo Lifting Nets

When it comes to lifting and moving irregular, bulky, or loose materials, cargo lifting nets are the answer. Designed to wrap securely around your load, these nets are commonly used for a variety of jobs, including on construction sites, in warehouses, or on a ship.

At US Cargo Control, we offer two industry-tested styles of cargo net lifting solutions: rope cargo lifting nets and polyester cargo lifting nets. Each is engineered to meet the demands of heavy-duty applications where a standard sling or strap won’t get the job done.

What Are Cargo Lifting Nets?

A cargo lifting net is a mesh-style net used to hoist materials that are oversized, oddly shaped, or hard to secure with conventional rigging. They easily envelope your load, allowing you to attach it to a crane or other lifting system.

Cargo Lifting Net Options

We provide two high-performance lifting net options, both designed to be lightweight and versatile:

Rope Cargo Lifting Nets

  • Constructed from high-tenacity polypropylene (HTPP) knotless netting
  • Highly flexible for wrapping irregularly shaped or bundled items
  • Excellent abrasion-, UV-, moisture-, and chemical resistance

Polyester Cargo Lifting Nets

  • Made from stitched polyester webbing in a durable grid pattern
  • Provides wider surface support for palletized or heavy loads
  • Resistant to UV light, moisture, and minor abrasions

Choosing the Right Hoisting Net

Here’s what to consider when selecting a cargo lifting net:

  • Load Capacity: Always verify that the working load limit (WLL) is greater than the weight of your load.
  • Mesh Size: For smaller items, choose a smaller mesh that won’t let the items fall through.
  • Net Dimensions: Keep your typical load size in mind.

Safety, Maintenance & Storage

To ensure the safety and longevity of your lifting cargo net, follow these best practices:

  • Inspect Regularly: Check for any signs of damage or wear, and follow industry safety guidelines for net replacement
  • Clean After Use: Remove debris, dirt, and moisture to protect the integrity of your net
  • Store Properly: Keep in a cool, dry location out of direct sunlight

Cargo Lifting Net FAQs

Q: Why are lifting cargo nets square?

A: A square design is required for the net to properly distribute the weight of the load.

Q: What is the weight capacity of rope cargo nets for lifting?

A: Each net has a defined working load limit. Always check the specs for your specific net and avoid overloading.

Q: What’s the difference between rope and web lifting nets?

A: Rope nets offer more flexibility, while webbing nets may offer broader surface coverage for your load.

Complete Your Lifting Setup

Get the most out of your material handling system by pairing your lifting cargo nets with other lifting and rigging equipment, such as four-leg nylon bridle slings, lifting hooks, and more.
