Eye & Eye Twist - Type 4 Flat
Nylon Twisted Eye Lifting Slings
Type 4 twisted eye slings are similar to type 3 slings, except for the eye design. The eye is twisted, allowing for superior performance in a basket or choker hitch. They can be used in a vertical hitch as well, and are identical in strength to their type 3 counterparts - the eye does not affect working load limit.
These lifting slings are available in various widths ranging from 1" to 12" wide and can be made with 1-ply, 2-ply, 3-ply or 4-ply thickness. Extra plies allow you to add strength without increasing the width.
All of our slings are made to order with a standard lead time of 1-3 days for assembly prior to shipping.
Type 4 Web Sling Eye Type
Choose from two eye options: a standard eye or a reinforced eye. The standard eye is made from the same nylon as the rest of the sling. The reinforced eye has Cordura, a high-strength fabric that provides abrasion-resistance, protecting your sling where it comes into contact with lifting hooks and other hardware.
To make lifting setup easier, 3" wide twisted eye slings and up have a tapered eye that is better suited for attachment and release.
Nylon Lifting Sling Options
If you need less stretch than a nylon web sling, a polyester round sling in a similar design is also a possibility.
All of our nylon slings are made to order. If you don't see the configuration you're looking for, contact our sales team or fill out our online quote request form. We'll be happy to help you get the web sling you need.
Sling Proof Testing Certificates
Proof testing certificates must be requested when you order your twisted eye sling. For a small fee, these proof tests are performed in the factory where the sling is pull-tested to 2x the vertical rating. It is then recorded officially as proof for governing bodies.
During the standard manufacturing process, only random slings during a production run are tested for compliance. In order to provide a proof testing certificate with your order, every sling must be pull tested at the time of manufacturing.
