A ratchet tie down is essential whether you're a weekend handyman or working in the cargo control industry. Ratchet straps work to secure cargo on a pallet, motorcycles on trailers, and everything in between.
The narrow width of our 1" ratchet tie down straps and cam buckle straps means you’ll get a tie down that’s lighter in weight and less bulky than traditional 2" straps, but with the same wide-ranging options of hardware, hooks, webbing colors, and customization choices. You have end fitting options like S-hook tie downs and so many more. You can also find stainless steel ratchet straps. Learn more about the materials that make up these 1” cargo tie downs below.
Strap Material – All of our 1" ratchet straps are manufactured with polyester webbing, which offers high strength and resistance to water absorption and damage from the sun’s UV rays, even with repeated outdoor exposure. Because polyester will absorb minimal water, it is also less likely to rot, mildew, or stretch under load. If you need to add extra abrasion-resistance, it’s easy to add 1" Cordura Wear Sleeves to the webbing to provide another layer of protection.
End Fittings – Each 1” ratchet strap is securely stitched around the ratchet appliance and end fitting. Straps are available with wire hooks, snap hooks, S-hooks, and D-rings, or you can choose an endless strap for your ratchet tie-downs.
Ratchet Strap Strength – Although 1" straps are sometimes referred to as small ratchet straps or light-duty ratchet straps, the polyester webbing offers break strengths ranging from 3,500 to 4,500 lbs. The working load limit of the tie down will vary by the hardware (ratchet, cam buckle, snap hook, etc.) on the tie down, so check the specifications carefully to ensure you’re getting the strength you need for the job.
Now that you know a little bit more about 1” ratchet straps, check out some of the different types of 1” tie down straps we offer you below.
There are all different types of ratchet straps with a 1” width. These straps can have different end fittings, different ratchet assemblies, or even serve different purposes. Here are a few of our common types of 1” ratchet straps.
Retractable Ratchet Straps – With a retractable ratchet strap, you still have an end fitting to hook into an anchor point and a ratchet to tighten the strap, but you also have a button that automatically retracts the webbing.
1” Motorcycle Straps – 1” tie down straps are great for securing motorcycles, ATVs, and more in a trailer. These types of ratchet tie downs generally use S-hooks or J-hooks, and they are made with weather-resistant polyester webbing. We also have tie down straps and hardware for boats, canoes, and kayaks.
Tree Stand Accessories – If you are looking to secure a tree stand, a tree stand strap is a must-have. These types of straps are strong and durable, and they are available in colors like black or camouflage to blend in.
1” Cambuckle Straps – A cambuckle strap, cam buckle tie down, or cam strap is a different type of tie down strap than a ratchet strap. They still offer you durable webbing, but they are tightened by pulling the strap by hand, so they are great for light-duty applications.
