Fleet Checklist: Must-Have Gear for Enclosed Trailers
When you're working with an enclosed trailer, it's not just about getting from point A to point B. It's about getting there without your cargo shifting, scraping, or spilling. Outfitting your trailer with the right tie-down system, straps, and accessories is the difference between chaos and control.
Here's your complete checklist of must-have accessories to keep your enclosed trailer safe, secure, and ready for the next job.
The Tie-Down System Backbone
Your tie-down system is the foundation of your cargo securement strategy. Installed along your trailer's walls & floors, these rails allow you to add secure tie-down points right where you need them.
E-Track: The industry standard for enclosed trailer tie-down systems. It's heavy-duty, making it better suited for larger cargo or bulkier tie-down jobs.

L-Track: This is sleeker and has a lower profile than E-track. It is better for smaller, lighter loads.

These systems give you built-in flexibility for all load sizes & configurations.
Tie Down Straps & Load Securement
Tie Down Straps
These are the workhorses of trailer securement. Choose straps that are compatible with your tie-down system, then select your desired length, tightening system, and other features, such as movable ratchets or double-fitted ends, for maximum versatility.
Ratchet Straps: For heavier loads that require more tension. You can easily over-tighten these, so be careful when using them with delicate cargo.
Cam Buckle Straps: These are easier to adjust and difficult to over-tighten, making them perfect for lighter, delicate loads.
Cargo Nets
After you strap down your load, cargo nets are a second line of defense for oddly shaped items or loose, floor-loaded cargo. They're ideal for stopping load shifting without crushing the cargo. They can also be used to section off cargo as needed.
Shoring Beams & Load Bars
These prevent forward and backward movement during transport. They extend along the width of your trailer and lock into your E-track or tension against your trailer walls. Pair these with cargo nets to create neat, sectioned-off cargo.
Shoring beams can also be used to create decking in an enclosed trailer, which uses vertical space to increase cargo capacity.

Dunnage Bags
If you still have gaps in your trailer, dunnage bags fill the space to reduce movement, minimize cargo-to-cargo impact, and absorb shock.
Cargo Damage Protection
Even if your cargo is secure, you may need extra protection for those delicate loads to ensure your tie-down straps aren't damaging your haul.
Moving Pads & Blankets
Wrap moving blankets around furniture, machinery, or delicate cargo to prevent scratches during transport. They are also handy for cargo with sharp edges or abrasive texture to avoid damaging your tie-down straps.
Corner Protectors
For extra strap protection on cargo with sharp edges, consider using edge protectors.
Material Handling Essentials
Having the right tools to handle and move your cargo is essential, especially when offering white glove delivery or final-mile service to your customers.
Hand Trucks & Dollies
Load and unload quickly with hand trucks and/or dollies, especially when moving heavy cargo. The right one for your application depends on the size and weight of your cargo, stability requirements and maneuverability needs.
Door Jamb & Floor Protectors
Delivering to a customer's home or place of business, and want to give them the white glove touch to their delivery? Consider using floor protectors and doorjamb protectors to ensure both their cargo and space are safe and scratch-free.
Organizational & Utility Accessories
There are many organizational accessories available to stay efficient in your enclosed trailer. Some options for E-track include storage bins and hooks, spare tire mounts, hose holders, and more.
