What Size Cargo Net Do I Need for My Truck Bed?
To understand the size cargo net for your truck bed, you must measure the length of the truck bed and estimate how far your cargo will extend above your bed rails.
Truck Bed Length |
Suggested Net |
Uses |
| 5’ – 5.5’ (Short Bed) |
Short Cargo Net |
Ideal for compact to mid-sized trucks (ex. Tacoma or Ranger) |
|
5.5’ – 6.5’ (Standard Bed) |
Standard Cargo Net | Fits most full-sized truck beds (ex. F-150 or Silverado) |
|
6.5’ – 8’ (Long Bed) |
Long Cargo Net | Suited for heavy-duty pickups with upgraded, longer beds. |
If you estimate that your load will rise above the top of the bed rails, consider sizing up. For example, if you have a 5.5’ truck bed, but you estimate your cargo will extend 1’ + above the bed rails, you should size up to the long cargo net. Or, consider a bungee net.

Bungee Cargo Nets
If your cargo rises significantly higher than your bed rails or is oddly shaped, consider a bungee cargo net. They stretch along your cargo and can accommodate many bed lengths and cargo sizes.
US Cargo Control offers two bungee net options:

What Size Cargo Net Do I Need for an Enclosed Trailer?
We make sizing easy for cargo nets being installed in enclosed trailers. US Cargo Control’s heavy-duty trailer nets are 82” wide and extend 94” to 110” across the width of a trailer, fitting most standard enclosed trailers. There are two sizes available – 82” tall or 42” tall.
82” x 82” cargo nets are best used at the back of the trailer to protect packages from falling out when the doors are opened. It provides floor-to-ceiling coverage for standard trailers.
42” x 82” cargo nets are often used to section off loads in enclosed trailers, and as a safety net to prevent items from falling when the doors are opened. These cover about half of a standard enclosed trailer height.
