Bolt-On Tie Downs
Bolt on D-rings let you add anchor points for chain and straps on your truck trailer, utility trailer, boats, docks, etc. they're also handy as wall hooks when organizing garages, warehouses, and workshops.
Our bolt on D-rings come in various sizes, finishes, working load limits, and break strengths. They are designed for durability against pressure and the elements, with some designated for light-duty jobs and others for heavy-duty applications.
We also offer a D-ring that's made of unfinished, forged steel to allow for both bolt or weld attachment.
D-Ring Corrosion-Resistance
When choosing bolt-on D-rings for trailers, make sure you take into account the environment you'll be working in.
Many of our D-rings are galvanized steel, with a zinc plating that offers corrosion-resistance that can handle regular exposure to mud and moisture. These are a great choice for most applications.
However, if you are working in a marine environment or around salt water, consider stainless steel D-rings instead. They are made from type 316 stainless, offering the best possible corrosion-resistance.
Bolt-On D-Ring Installation
Most of our bolt-on D-rings have a bracket with two pre-drilled mounting holes for easy installation. To achieve the listed break strength, best practice is to drill through the mounting surface, then use bolts, washers, and nuts for the strongest hold.
If you are unable or don't want to drill through the mounting surface, just keep in mind that the D-ring is only as strong as the hardware it is mounted with.
Versatile Bolt-On Tie Down Points
Once mounted, these bolt on tie downs accept bungee cords, ratchet straps, transport chains, ropes, and other tie downs. Flip-up D-ring folds away when not in use, and accepts most tie down end fittings.
For a more permanent installation with higher working load limits, check out our weld-on D-rings.
