Porta Winches and Porta Anchors offer the ability to turn standard stake pockets into anchor points for your winch straps. These anchors allow you to tie down a load at any of the stake pockets alongside your trailer to accommodate your load as needed. Regular clamp on winches can vibrate loose and ratchet straps just don't allow you to apply the amount of tension a winch and winch bar can. These 3-Bar winches offer a legal solution to a common trucking industry problem.

Also available in an Inward Offset to allow for track-mounted tarp clearance.

Tensioning

For tensioning, the WSTDA recommends in section 4.3.5 that "When using any winch, the winch mandrel shall have a minimum of two (2) and a maximum of four (4) wraps of webbing. Two to four wraps will appear like four to eight layers of webbing. Less than two wraps may result in strap slippage; more than four will place unnecessary strain on the winch. Excessive straps of webbing on the mandrel may reduce the working load limit (WLL) of the winch and may interfere with proper operation."

good product

Generally a good product but could be better. the part that catches the bottom of the stake pockets needs to be bent further into a complete 180. and long enough to slip up an inch or two. when hauling wide oversized loads the strap puts pressure outward and when the strap loosens when the load flexes to device can pop out of the stake pocket. otherwise a good product
