Description
2"x8' ratchet strap style is also sometimes known as a car tie down strap or motorcycle strap and boasts a webbing break strength of 6,000 lbs. Designed with two heavy duty flat snap hooks and a wide-handled ratchet that's easy to tension quickly. All hardware has zinc coating for protection. All of our ratchet straps meet or exceed WSTDA and DOT guidelines, and are labeled with working load limit information.
Compliant with Industry Standards
All of our ratchet straps are tagged and stenciled with the working load limit to meet FMCSA and DOT regulations, CVSA and WSTDA guidelines, and North American Cargo Securement standards.

Ratchet Use Guidelines
According to the WSTDA (section 4.6.8): "When using web tie downs with a winch or ratchet, a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 wraps of webbing shall be wound on the winch or ratchet mandrel. Excessive wraps of webbing on the mandrel may reduce the working load limit (WLL) of the web tie down and may interfere with proper operation."

Poor quality. Not at all what I expected to arrive. If I was aware of what I purchased I would have never or purchased these straps. Unfortunately after reading further once I received the Items. Us Cargo Charges a Restocking fee which would put me at a loss if I were to return all 51. I would be taking a dollar loss on about 10 of the straps I purchased. Delivery was 5 star. No complaints about shipping at all.

We use the straps to secure domestic propane tanks to our tank trailer bows in transit. We like that each end secures with snap hooks. The straps are much easier on the paint than the binder chains we used to use.
I have a Wake Surf boat and the swim deck behind the transom leaves a small gap for the tie down hooks. These hooks a narrower than the ones on my last tie downs. I also like the ratchets vs the over-center type I had before. The ratchets seem plenty strong for me.
