Description

ST Fastening #10 x 1-1/2" Pancake Head Metal to Wood ST Clip Screw, Carbon Steel, Pkg 250

When additional thread engagement is needed for metal-to-wood fastening, this ST Fastening #10 x 1-1/2" Pancake Head ST Clip Screw provides extended reach and reliable performance. Manufactured from carbon steel and protected with a patented Ruspert coating, it offers enhanced resistance against corrosion. The 250-count package supports efficient installation across larger standing seam roofing jobs.

Note: Always verify penetration depth requirements based on clip design and wood thickness.

1-1/2" Ruspert-Coated ST Clip Screw for Metal Roofing to Wood Substrates

Built for attaching standing seam roof clips to purlins, plywood, or OSB, this longer screw length allows deeper bite into wood framing members. The pancake head design delivers strong clamping force while maintaining a low-profile finish beneath metal panels.

Key Features

  • Extended 1-1/2" Length: Provides increased thread engagement in thicker wood substrates.
  • Carbon Steel Construction: Offers dependable strength for structural clip fastening.
  • Ruspert Protective Coating: Enhances corrosion resistance in varied weather conditions.
  • #2 Square Drive System: Improves torque transfer and reduces cam-out during installation.

Common Applications

  • Standing Seam Clip Attachment: Secures metal roofing clips to wood purlins and decking.
  • Commercial Roofing Projects: Suitable for larger-scale roof installations.
  • Residential Metal Roof Systems: Ideal for homes using clip-fastened panel systems.
  • Agricultural Buildings: Performs well in barns and outbuildings.
  • Exterior Wood Substrates: Designed for plywood and OSB roof decks.

Installation Tips

  • Match the Drive Bit: Use a #2 square driver for consistent engagement.
  • Control Driving Speed: Apply steady pressure to prevent stripping the drive recess.
  • Check Seating: Ensure the pancake head sits flat against the clip for proper clamping force.

Wonderful screw

I think they even arrived a day early. You can find this type of screw at your local hardware store. I bought them because the drywall style screw goes too deep into the cedar wood on my fence and needed something with a wider footprint. These will work much better.

This is what I have needed, but could never find !!

These screws are perfect for SO MANY applications ! When you go up & down the isles of HD or Lowes, (without no one to help you find anything), or even in a good old fashioned hardware store, you usually settle for a sheet rock screw ! But with a close-up shot of their fasteners, you get EXACTLY what you wanted !!
I was a high-end, residential/commercial/industrial, licensed general contractor for 40+ years and usually couldn't find the perfect screw - no pun intended 😄
