Memorial Day 2018: Military Discount, Patriotic ways to Celebrate

US Cargo Control team

US Cargo Control appreciates and remembers the grit and bravery of all U.S. military members who gave the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our freedom.

That's why US Cargo Control offers a site-wide 10% military discount to all current, former, retired, and disabled members and dependents of the United States Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, and National Guard and Reserve. More on this later. First and foremost, remember that this is a day of remembrance and recognition. There are many different things you can do on this holiday, but some are more patriotic and impactful than others.

Patriotic Ways to Celebrate Memorial Day

It's fine to have your barbecue and to enjoy some sunshine and watersports. But, also find some time to infuse remembrance and solidarity for these heroic men and women.
  1. Visit a war memorial or veteran's cemetery in your town.
  2. Attend a local parade or event. Or, watch the National Memorial Day Parade online.
  3. Invite military families and veterans over to your barbecue.
  4. Fly an American flag. Keep it at half-mast until noon, then raise it to full mast for the remainder of Memorial Day.
  5. Be a part of the National Moment of Remembrance. The president will issue a prayer for peace followed by a silent moment of remembrance at 3 p.m. local time.

Continuing Military Discount at US Cargo Control

Remember, the USCC 10% military discount covers everything (excluding shipping) found on the USCC website, from ratchet straps and motorcycle tie downs to moving blankets, chain, and more. US Cargo Control has already discounted over 600 orders for military members and dependents! It's just a small way to give back to the brave men and women of the United States military.

To all current, former, retired, and disabled heroes of the U.S. military, thank you for your service.
