Double-door style aluminum truck tool box from Merritt® is lightweight yet durable enough to store straps, ropes, chains, tools, etc. The lap joint weld construction with corner material overlap offers more strength than a traditional butt weld design. An extruded door frame, automotive-grade door seals, and UHMW (ultra high molecular weight) plastic on the striker plate create a weather-tight seal and longer latch life. Doors have piano-style hinges and are polished to a #8 grade for a sharp look (shipped with a coating on the doors for protection which can be removed during installation). Two lockable T-handle cup latches are in polished stainless steel.
The space-saving design mounts on the underside of a trailer, semi-truck or flatbed truck. Mounting brackets are not included; sold separately here.
