Description

2" x 27' Ratchet Strap Tie Down

2 inch ratchet straps are a staple in the transportation industry - the polyester straps are rugged yet soft to protect your cargo, and the ratcheting mechanism makes it simple to achieve a tight, secure hold. They are incredibly versatile, filling the gap between lightweight 1" straps and heavy-duty 4" straps. The polyester webbing offers superior strength with very little give, along with UV- and water-resistance. And, unlike cam straps, ratchets don't rely solely on operator strength, so you can add the perfect amount of tension to the strap.

Quality-Focused Ratchet Strap Construction

Our 2" tie down straps have a longer fixed end than most standard straps, letting you position the ratchet further from the anchor point after wrapping around a rub rail. They also have a sewn loop built-in next to the ratchet for extra webbing - simply wrap up the excess strap and tuck it into the loop!

Industrial-Grade Webbing

The yarn used to make our webbing is slightly thicker than that offered by most competitors, with more picks per inch used to create each strap. It's also heat-sealed on the end. Together, these features provide better resistance to abrasion, tearing, and cutting, so your ratchet straps will last longer.

Corrosion-Resistant Ratchet Characteristics

Zinc-coated ratchet component has a long, wide handle and a smooth grip. These features combine to allow for easier strap tensioning.

10,000 lb. Ratchet Strap Industry Compliance

All of our ratchet straps are tagged and stenciled with the working load limit to meet FMCSA and DOT regulations, CVSA and WSTDA guidelines, and North American Cargo Securement standards.

Learn more about proper load handling and securement in the WSTDA safety bulletins.

Benefits of Flat Hook End Hardware

If you are want to connect to either your rub rail or under the edge of your truck / trailer, a flat hook is the right end fitting for you. With a wide contact area to better distribute tie down force, flat hooks are a reliable choice for most loads. They also include a built-in defender to prevent webbing wear and tear and prolong the life of your strap.

Custom Ratchet Straps Available

Looking for a combination of length, color, hardware you don't see on the website? Want straps stenciled with your company name or logo? We also offer custom tie down straps. We can create the ideal strap for your application at our Iowa manufacturing facility - this not only allows us to hold all of our straps to the same high quality standards, but it also means fast shipping to you!

Ratchet Use Guidelines

According to the WSTDA (section 4.6.8): "When using web tie downs with a winch or ratchet, a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 wraps of webbing shall be wound on the winch or ratchet mandrel. Excessive wraps of webbing on the mandrel may reduce the working load limit (WLL) of the web tie down and may interfere with proper operation."

What is Design Factor?

According to the WSTDA, design factor is the "ratio of the breaking strength to the working load limit" and should be 3:1 for these tie down straps. This builds in a level of redundancy to account for unknown factors, keeping you, your crew, and those around you safe.

Complete your tie down system with strap protection, D-rings, corner protectors, and more. We also offer transport chains and binders as an alternative tie-down solution, as well as an ergonomic Good-N-Tight ratchet strap tightening handle.

Best Ratchet Straps Made

My dispatcher found these and ordered me 30 of them and at first glance they look typical of any other strap, but the first time I used them I realized really quick that they were different. The first thing I noticed was the handle where your hand goes to operate the ratchet was slightly bigger and smooth, other ratchets tend to hurt my hands due to being small, not smooth and sharp edges.
I haul a lot of skidded sheet metal and equipment so abrasion resistance is of great importance, even with the use of edge protection sometimes a strap may rub on a piece of equipment and be ruined after 1 load, these straps are extremely resistant to that, I’ve used these daily for 6 weeks and I haven’t had to replace one yet.
I use a strap roller to roll my straps up and these roll up very tight and I secure them with a large rubber band and stack them in my box, so they are ready to use, these roll tightly and stay put which makes my job easier and more efficient and we all know time is money.
My company has 6 flatbeds at our warehouse and other drivers would “borrow” my straps and not return them so my dispatcher bought a different color strap for each truck and put a stop to that now everyone is held accountable for their equipment.
I suggest you buy these you will love them !!!
