Cargo Nets for Trailers, Trucks, and Utility Vehicles
A cargo net is an excellent way to secure a wide range of items – whether you are hauling a trailer full of merchandise across the country or moving some furniture in your pickup. Their one-piece design is easy-to-use and easy-to-store – you don’t have to worry about setting up a bunch of unconnected straps, securing each and every strap to an anchor point, or compensating for uneven coverage because the straps aren't laying correctly.
Instead, you can unfold, arrange, and attach it in a matter of minutes.
USCC offers the most popular styles so it's not hard to find the ideal one for your application. Choices include heavy duty cargo nets for trailers, versatile mesh nets, and light duty truck bed nets for use in pickup truck tie down applications.
Multiple heavy duty cargo net sizes are available: we carry both large and small cargo nets in most styles. Learn more about our cargo nets by watching the video below.
What Is Cargo Netting?
Cargo netting is a flexible, strap-based securement tool used to keep cargo from shifting, spilling, or falling during transport. Available in a variety of sizes and strengths, cargo nets are a versatile option for everything from cross-country freight runs to quick local deliveries.
What are the Different Types of Cargo Nets?
We offer three main types:
- Trailer cargo nets for enclosed or utility trailers
- Pickup truck cargo nets for short-bed, standard, and long-bed trucks
- Bungee cargo netting for irregularly-shaped cargo
Trailer Cargo Nets
Our trailer nets are built with industrial-grade 12K break strength polyester webbing and zinc-plated, corrosion-resistant hardware. Used in enclosed trailers, reefer trucks, and other commercial modes of transit, they're compatible with E-track, A-track, and X-track systems.
Popular uses include preventing your cargo from shifting and moving in a trailer, segmenting trucks based on delivery, and as a safety net at the end of the truck to prevent injury and cargo loss when the doors are opened.
The typical adjustment range for the nets we carry is 94" to 110".
Trailer Cargo Netting Features:
- Compatible with standard track systems (E/A/X-track)
- E-fittings for quick and secure attachment
- Available with cam buckles or ratchets
- Adjustable straps to accommodate varying load sizes
Mesh Pickup Truck Cargo Nets
Smaller in size but still heavy-duty, our truck bed nets made of a tough, 2'' wide polyester webbing with adjustable straps. They stretch around the cargo in the bed of a truck and easily attach to the side rail or anchor rings, ideal for securing tools, equipment, and general cargo in the bed of your truck.
The straps are outfitted with S-hooks, making setup and release painless. They also have cam buckles, giving you more control over how tightly the net holds down the cargo. And since polyester isn't particularly stretchy, your cargo is less likely to bounce.
Pickup Truck Cargo Netting Features:
- Vinyl-coated S-hooks for quick tie-downs that won't scratch cargo
- Sized for short, standard, or long truck beds
- Designed for flexibility, containment, and fast access
Bungee Netting
Our bungee cargo netting is created using a high-quality bungee material for added flexibility over webbing nets. It has a series of removable plastic attachment hooks and is ideal for bulky cargo. The stretchiness of the bungee material lets it better accommodate oddly-shaped items. The removable hooks allow for some additional tailoring of your tie down setup.
Custom Cargo Nets
Can't find a product that meets your specifications? We can create a custom cargo net! Depending on your needs, you choose the ideal webbing width and color, end hardware (including E- and L-track fittings), hole size, and overall net dimensions. These nets are made on-site at our facility in Iowa, so we can offer maximum flexibility in designing the net you want.
Cargo Net Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is cargo netting used for?
A: Cargo netting is used to secure and contain cargo during transport. It helps prevent load shifting, protects cargo from damage, and reduces safety risks by keeping gear in place during transit.
Q: How do I choose between trailer and pickup cargo nets?
A: Trailer nets are designed for use with track systems and larger freight spaces. Pickup nets are optimized for truck beds and quick gear containment.
Q: What are the benefits of using a cargo net as a safety net?
A: When used at the back of a trailer at the doors, cargo nets minimize risk of injury and greatly reduces insurance claims and cargo write-offs. Note: Cargo nets should not be used for fall protection.
Q: What materials are cargo nets made from?
A: Our cargo nets are made from high-strength polyester webbing or stretchable bungee cords, with hardware that is coated or zinc-plated for long-term durability.
Q: Do cargo nets protect against weather?
A; Cargo nets are primarily for securement, not weatherproofing. For rain, snow, or sun protection, use tarps or covers along with your net.
Q: Can I use cargo nets in other vehicles?
A: Yes - cargo nets are commonly used in vans, SUVs, trailers, truck campers, and UTVs, as long as you have anchor points for attachment.
