Description

Standard Weld-On Strap Winch for Trailers

When you haul the same types of loads time and again, you need a securement system that fits your setup. 4" weld-on flatbed winches are built for operators who want a fixed, dependable solution they can rely on load after load.

Designed for permanent installation, these winches weld directly onto your trailer to create a strong, stable anchor point for your tie-down system. No shifting, no repositioning - just consistent performance every time you throw a strap. Built from heavy-duty steel with a corrosion-resistant finish and a 5,500 lb. working load limit, these winches are made to handle tough hauls and long days on the road without compromise.

The standard design offers superior excess webbing storage compared to low profile options, so you'll have more webbing available to handle larger cargo.

These winches are compatible with all of our winch bars and our winch straps, which come with a variety of end fittings.

Weld-On Winch Features

  • Bottom-Mount: Installs on the underside of your trailer frame.
  • Permanent Installation: Welded directly to the trailer frame, perfect for handling consistent load types.
  • Built-In Strap Storage: Can store up to 50' of 4"W webbing.

Tensioning

For tensioning, the WSTDA recommends in section 4.3.5 that "When using any winch, the winch mandrel shall have a minimum of two (2) and a maximum of four (4) wraps of webbing. Two to four wraps will appear like four to eight layers of webbing. Less than two wraps may result in strap slippage; more than four will place unnecessary strain on the winch. Excessive straps of webbing on the mandrel may reduce the working load limit (WLL) of the winch and may interfere with proper operation."
